Dr. Neha Kailash Nawandar

Neha K. Nawandar received a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur, India, in 2012 and M.Tech. (VLSI Design) from Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior, India, in 2015. She received her doctoral degree from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur, in December 2020. Her thesis was on IoT based end-to-end adaptive control for smart irrigation.  

Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of ECE, NIT Sikkim. Prior to this, she worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Electrical Engineering Department at IIT Delhi with Prof. Shaunak Sen and Prof. S. Janardhanan from Nov 2021 to Nov 2023. Here, she worked on Soil moisture estimation using non-contact measurement techniques. Previously, she served as an Adhoc Assistant Professor from July 2021 to Nov 2021 and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Practice from Jan 2021 to May 2021 at the Department of ECE, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. Her research interests include applications for the Internet of Things (IoT), precision farming, and agro-informatics.

She has published papers in reputed journals and presented her work at international conferences. She also serves as a reviewer for various reputed journals.
