NKDSDC Revolution 2024

Naogaon KrishnaDhan School Debate Club (NKDSDC) proudly organized "NKDSDC Revolution 2024," a month-long event, becoming the first individual institutional club in Naogaon to host such an initiative. The event aimed to discover and train debaters from all classes of Naogaon KrishnaDhan Government High School, running in four distinct phases starting from September 10, 2024.

Phase 1: Debater Hunt

The event began with a "10-Day Debater Hunt," targeting students from Classes 6 to 10. This phase focused on identifying potential debaters for NKDSDC. Sessions were conducted by the club’s honorable president, general secretary, and joint general secretary, receiving an overwhelming response from enthusiastic students.

Phase 2: Training Workshops

The second phase featured a "Week-Long Training Workshop" series, consisting of five high-quality sessions led by national-level debaters:

1. MD Arman Hossain – Joint Secretary of the Debate Club of Naogaon (DCN) and coach of NKDSDC, conducted the opening workshop.

2. Rishad Shabab – President of Naogaon Zilla School Debate Club (NZSDC), led the second workshop.

3. MD Taslimul Hasan – Ex-officio of NKDSDC, Press and IT Secretary of DCN, and Regional Head (Naogaon) of the National Debate Federation (NDF), conducted the third workshop.

4. Maien Al Mubassir – President of Bangladesh National Debating Platform (BNDP) and NKDSDC coach, led the fourth workshop.

5. Sh Tasnim – Debater from UIU Debate Club (UIUDC), conducted the final workshop.

These workshops enriched participants with advanced debating techniques and valuable insights.

Phase 3: Practice Debates and Grooming

During the third phase, "Practice Debates and Sessions" were held, aiming to conduct at least two practice debates daily. This provided the new debaters with hands-on experience and fostered their development.

Phase 4: NKDSDC Revolution Championship 2024

The event concluded with the "NKDSDC Revolution Championship 2024," the club’s second intra-club debate championship. Directed by the president, Ahonaf Amin, the championship simulated a full-fledged debating tournament.

The Core Adjudication Panel (CAP) featured esteemed judges, including:

• Udoy Roy

• Ridita Ahmed

• Rishad Shabab

• Atkia Anjum

Invited adjudicators added significant value to the championship.

Championship Results:

• Winners: "The Boyz" – Shadman Ishraque, Shalin Islam Saad, and Afnan Ahmed Sami.

• Runners-Up: "Team Arguably the Best" – M M Taha, Arafat Amin, and Tawhid Islam.

• Debaters of the Tournament (DoTs): Mutassim Fuad, Shadman Ishraque, Shalin Islam Saad, and Tahmid Bin Karim.

• Debater of the Final: Shalin Islam Saad.

The tab team and organizational team, including Sanjid Siam, Israfil Islam, and Mezbah Ul Islam, played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success. The cooperation from the executive panel and school authority was remarkable, marking the event as a milestone in the history of NKDSDC.

NKDSDC Revolution 2024 will be remembered as a pioneering effort in cultivating a new generation of debaters and elevating the standards of debate in Naogaon.
