NKDSDC BP Open 2024: Fundraiser for Bangladesh

Hosting a national tournament is always a matter of pride, and organizing one as a fundraiser during a national crisis elevates that pride even further. Following the devastating floods in the southern part of Bangladesh, where many families faced severe hardships, the Naogaon KrishnaDhan School Debate Club (NKDSDC) felt a strong urge to help.

Believing in the debating community’s tradition of leading by example in societal good deeds, NKDSDC launched the "NKDSDC BP Open 2024: Fundraiser for Bangladesh." The tournament, held on August 26-27, 2024, featured 36 team slots and IA slots. All registration fees were committed to flood relief efforts. The response exceeded expectations, with 32 teams and numerous IA forms filling up within just five days.

Organizing the Tournament

The success of the tournament was made possible by the dedicated efforts of various teams:

The Core Adjudication Panel and Invited Adjudicators also played a crucial role, ensuring the tournament ran smoothly. Special thanks go to the debaters and IAs for their participation and contributions, which helped raise a total of 38,200 BDT. This amount was donated to the Chief Adviser’s Donation Fund to aid flood-affected people.
