MarinEcoMetrics is an unofficial division of Environmetrics that focuses on marine ecology and fisheries oceanography research and protection of species, communities and ecosystems. 

The MarinEcoMetrics framework encompasses the following: 

• Identifying crucial ecosystem components and probably significant interactions through numerical and statistical modelling.

• Monitoring coastal and deep-see environments using on-site and remote observing systems.

• Enhancing the sustainability and recovery of fishing impacted species, communities and environments through ecosystem-based fisheries management.
