This last year, I learned in detail about Project Management and applied what I know to the following projects. This project page is a collection of some of the outputs I produced over a period of several months using various project management tools and techniques. It is a compilation of my finished documents created with sound knowledge on the project management topics covered in the seven courses I took, with a touch of creativity and my passion for this subject. The certification was completed in May 2022 through UC Berkeley Extension.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION, UC BERKELEY, CA
Developed a start to end plan to strategically increase production capacity that involved the replacement of the existing equipment with larger capacity to meet the current consumer demand while not hindering the current production.
Created & documented the business case, project charter, resource loaded project schedule (Gantt chart), work breakdown structure, milestones and deadlines. Created and analyzed the risk management plan and risk register to review the effects on project baselines to ensure project is within the constraints.
Created the quality assurance plans and quality control measures for all the major milestones. Successfully closed the project by reviewing the actual outcomes vs the planned outcomes and documenting the lessons learned while ensuring the quality of the work met client and management specifications.
Developed a plan to successfully complete 2022 Tax Season with existing resource profile and current customer base with high quality and better customer satisfaction.
Initiated the project by identifying the requirements, stakeholders, assumptions and constraints. Developed the project plan and schedule based on the current resources, revenue and various other costs using Microsoft Project by utilizing Gantt Chart, Critical Path Method and network diagrams.
Created full-fledged implementation plans considering resource optimisation, accounting for ROI, cost benefit and optimization analysis. The analysis determined that the number of resources and costs involved validate the estimated revenue to efficiently complete the Tax Season 2022 with high quality.
Project 3: Team Project - International Family Trip (Egypt)
Teamed up with other course mates to work together to create a project management plan and its various components for the project “International Family Trip”
Collaborated to develop Team Charter, Project Charter, Stakeholder Register along with RACI chart and WBS.
As a team created a Network Diagram and resource loaded schedule using Microsoft Project (Gantt Chart). Identified risks and uncertainties to develop a Risk Register with mitigation strategies and contingency plans to help review and update the resource loaded schedule.
Simulated situations during project execution to review the effects on project scope, schedule and cost baselines. Accordingly, created Change Request Forms and project schedule updates to successfully close the project with a project retrospective team meeting.
