I am a research scientist with a PhD specializing in Computational Neuroscience, currently working with MathWorks India. In my role, I collaborate with academicians, researchers, and professors, providing them with deep technical assistance for their research and curriculum development. I engage with universities, engineering colleges, and research centers to conduct workshops for students and faculty in the fields of neuroscience, biomedical signal/image processing, AI, machine learning, and deep learning.
Prior to joining MathWorks, I conducted my PhD research at the Cognitive Brain Dynamics Lab (CBDL) at the National Brain Research Center. During this time, I led the development of novel algorithms focused on brain connectivity and AI. My fundamental contributions are in the fields of dynamic functional connectivity, aging, and resting-state brain dynamics. Additionally, I developed an innovative brain connectivity-based method to classify mental health disorders. I also significantly contributed to and developed a deep learning-based hyperfine MR image quality enhancement algorithm, a project funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
I have authored several research papers published in reputed international journals, with our work featured on the cover of the prestigious Cerebral Cortex journal. My research has been showcased at numerous domestic and international conferences including ACCS, OHBM, SfN, and Bernstein Conference.
I thoroughly enjoy interacting with the public, particularly students. I've delivered numerous science communication lectures in Kannada, Hindi, and English, and have written science books in Kannada as well. Feel free to email me if you'd like to request a sci-comm public lecture. I'm always eager to discuss Neuroscience!
