guided mountain biking

We are so lucky to be based in the Highlands of Scotland with its stunning mountain terrain and huge open spaces which are just perfect for mountain biking.

  • Here in The Cairngorm National Park we can take advantage of the many kilometres of beautiful singletrack in the pine forests, or spend a morning working on technique on the Badaguish xc trails before heading over to ride the lower section of the Lairig Ghru. We have two excellent local bike shops BaseCampBikes & RideCairngorm where you can arrange bike hire, or repairs if needed. If you are looking for great places to stay check out Kinross House in Grantown on Spey and Nethy House in Nethybridge. Couples looking for somewhere a bit different to stay Flora's Luxury Shepherd Hut might be just what you are looking for? The village of Grantown on Spey also boasts a wide variety of places to eat, or pick up supplies, The High St. Merchants is one of our favourites.
  • If you choose a base in Torridon we might ride the Kenmore-Applecross route or the circuit of Beinn Damh or of course the world famous Torridon Loop. Please don't forget the Northwest Highlands of Scotland are remote, so stock up on spare tubes and brake pads from Mark and the team at Dryburgh Cycles in Dingwall.
  • Other venues that we can guide include deeper into The Cairngorms such as Glen Avon; or the remote Fisherfield Forest in the Northwest Highlands. We can also discuss, plan and design overseas biking trips for you with our friend Jaime at AwayFromTheCrowds in Spain.
