Nikunj Patel is a PhD student at John Molson Business School, exploring the intersection of optimization, uncertainty, and machine learning. His research interests include facility location, assortment optimization, and omnichannel retail, with a particular focus on applications in the logistics sector. He is keen on leveraging mathematical modeling and AI-driven decision-making to address complex operational challenges.
Before pursuing his PhD, Nikunj worked as an Academic Associate at IIM Ahmedabad and IRMA, where he gained experience in research and analytical problem-solving. He holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, which have shaped his strong foundation in quantitative methods and optimization techniques.
Beyond academics, he enjoys badminton, cricket, movies, and books. He is always open to discussions on optimization, AI applications in logistics, and technology-driven decision-making.
