The Trio Sonata in F-Sharp Minor, “L'Indompté”, No. 1, NWV 1 is the first composition in the catalogue. It contains four movements, and is in the style of baroque music. It is titled “L'Indompté”, meaning the untamed, referring to the abnormal nature of the composition.
Movement three of the composition is especially unusual not due to the form and style, but due to it being in G minor rather than in F-sharp minor or a related key.
The work is scored for two violins, cello, and basso continuo.
