The NIHR RSS Specialist Centre for Public Health delivered by Newcastle University and Partners is accepting applications to undertake a service evaluation of the pilot public health research delivery support service.

The evaluation is expected to provide robust insights into the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the pilot service, in terms of both process and outcomes.
The evaluation will provide key information to the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) on the performance of the pilot service and recommend modifications to ensure the service rolled out subsequently is fit for purpose, represents value for money, and provides research delivery support in a way that has not previously existed.
The evaluation will begin in late 2026 and take between 4 and 6 months. The budget is £70k.
