After decades of boarding friends' dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels I decided to make it my career in 2021. Night Shift Pet Care, LLC is licensed by Multnomah County Animal Services and insured by Kennel Pro.
I encourage good habits in the squad by rewarding appropriate behaviors with food, toys, and praise in a calmer environment than a traditional kennel.
Services
overnight boarding: $60 for adults $75 for puppies
drop offs begin at 9am, an established client may drop off until 8 or 9pm. New clients and high energy dogs need paws on the ground by 3pm. A new service day begins at noon (with grey area for pick ups between 12-1). A daycare fee will be added for afternoon and evening pickup.
daycare: $40 for adults $50 for puppies
Intakes begin at 7:30am. I prefer to space arrivals out in 15 minute intervals. Pickups can be as late as 10pm but please send me a text 30 minutes prior so I can have your dog and it's travel bag ready.
walks or drop-in visit: $25 for 30 minutes
walk, play, or both, administering medication, bringing mail/packages in, and texts with photos and updates
Quiet Time is roughly 11am-1pm and 5pm-7pm. Pups are given enrichment toys, meals, snacks. and chew items to help them relax. We usually listen to music during play breaks. If your dog has a favorite song, let Aunt Joy know!

Off Leash Adventures are 3+ miles of fun in the woods. Dogs must ride calmly with other dogs and have outstanding recall.
Play groups + outside time
Neighborhood walks with an emphasis on leash skills, walking cues, nose work, sniff breaks, and impulse control.
hot weather and rainy days offer opportunities for extra enrichment toys, confinement/crate training, quiet time, naps, sniffing games/nose work, and agility basics.
I accept intact females. I will do my best to help with care for intact males who start with me as wee puppies. New male clients must be neutered or under 8 months old.
Days and hours are flexible. Weekend daycare is usually an option. Please reach out with your needs via text, an old fashioned call, or email.

If your dog prefers a type of bowl (ceramic, metal, plastic, flat, puzzle feeder) I have a few of everything so leave your bowl at home and let me know what works for your dog!
Fleece blankets and dog beds are provided. Please don't bring anything larger than a small fleece throw or t shirt if they need a comfort item. There are several sizes of crates for puppies and XL dogs.
Check the date you give flea/tick prevention so they are current before boarding. If it's a long board I am happy to store and administer their medication on the appropriate date.
