The game never held our hands and everything was based on logic and not random guesses. The structure of the 4 chapters worked well and allowed us to take a break after each chapter to talk about the case. Like Grunts, the Night Hunter patrols areas in the Trials environment to look for and kill Reagents. He is primarily drawn to Reagents by sight and noise, can traverse through small spaces and can grab Reagents to deal significant damage by stabbing them with a machete repeatedly. Unlike Grunts, the Night Hunter is equipped with night vision goggles rigged to never turn off. Being able to see in the dark at all times, the Night Hunter can easily spot Reagents as long they are within his line of sight and is agile enough to pursue them in a prolonged chase, making it very difficult to hide from him. Additionally, he also can also crouch and wait in complete darkness to ambush any unsuspecting Reagents who are passing down a doorway.

Despite night vision being his greatest advantage, it is also his greatest weakness. The Night Hunter is blinded by bright areas when he is lured out of darkness, leaving him only to rely on sound to seek out Reagents. This can allow Reagents to sneak around him undetected while he is blinded. It also allows an opportunity for Reagents to deliberately lure him into light as a way to distract him.

He is prominent in dark locations, where he is normally found unless lured out, thanks to his night vision goggles creating a glow, as well as the rods on his head emitting a blue, electric glow. The car battery that powers his equipment is worn like a backpack on his back.

There, he encountered the three Grimspawn accompanied by the Dream Chasers, Zoey, and The Insomniacs. Using his crossbow, the Night Hunter the lollipop trees, marshmallow trees, gummy bears and pizza boxes to life with his arrows, using them to assail the dreamers. He taunted the first group of dreamers when they barricaded themselves inside Z-Blob. However, his triumph was short-lived as the second group arrived, arriving in the Crocodile Car. They dislodged the Night Hunter from the pegasus and sent the nightmare creatures fleeing from the Candy Realm.

The Night Hunter is a stealth-vampire build who, after having the rest of his kind exterminated, has come to the Commonwealth in search of humans with blood to satisfy his thirst. The radiation within the blood he consumes has begun to have strange effects on him, mutating him to have the ability to turn invisible at will, see through the night, and have incredible endurance. Taking the classic stealth-melee playstyle coupled with a "hunt or be hunted" mindset, playing the night hunter is a blood-curtling thrill. Still interested? The Night Hunter is, as expected, a melee assassin who stalks through the night slicing throats, feeding on corpses, and ultimately bringing wideswept terror to the Commonwealth. Besides using regular stealth, the Night Hunter is capable of achieving invisibility through the result of his blood mutation powers(Stealth Boys). However despite being stealthy, the Night Hunter should not be underestimated in his combat prowess once discovered as his high AP count and regeneration, decent armor rating, stackable bleed damage, and his ability to feed in combat to regain health all contribute to his ability in battle. But chances are, you've only discovered the Night Hunter because he wanted you to. Afterall, what fun is a good hunt if your prey doesn't see it coming?


Vampires are outcasts of society; they're feared by all and accepted by none. Because of this, the Night Hunter avoids settlements, people, and basically anyone or anything remotely good. He's lonely, but all he really cares about is feeding his constant thirst for blood. He accomplishes this by going on great "hunts". Upon the coming of night, he will search for victims in any form. For these hunts, the Night Hunter follows the laws that Vance created for the Family:
