Site created in 2020 while in high school for my Girl Scout Gold Award project.
Hello, my name is Katie Gladding. I am a NICU graduate, who was born at 26 weeks gestation. For my Girl Scout Gold award project, I created journals to help families who have babies in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). This can be a rough time and these journals are full of stories and inspiration to help them know that they are not alone.
In February of 2020, I produced 200 books and distributed them to NICU's around the greater Sacramento, California area. These journals have been really well-received, but can be expensive to produce. I am providing the .pdf version here so that you can download it yourself if you would like a copy.
I realize that there are thousands of NICU's all around the world who could benefit from the journals. It is my vision that other Girl Scouts might produce these journals and distribute them in their own local areas as a community service project and/or part of a Bronze or Silver award.
