NicoQuit ("we", "our", or "the app") is a gamified quit-smoking mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that information.
NicoQuit collects the following information that you provide during setup and usage:
Profile information: Name (optional nickname), quit date
Smoking habits: Cigarettes per day, price per pack, cigarettes per pack
App usage data: Craving logs (intensity, triggers, coping actions), streak records, quest progress, achievements, XP transactions, boss battle history
Health milestones: Progress through health recovery timeline based on your quit date
All data is stored locally on your device. NicoQuit uses an on-device SQLite database and does not transmit, upload, or share your data with any external server, cloud service, or third party.
No internet connection is required to use the app
No data is sent to our servers or any third-party servers
No analytics or tracking services are integrated into the app
No advertising SDKs are used
NicoQuit does not collect:
Email addresses, phone numbers, or government IDs
Location data
Contact lists or address books
Photos, videos, or files from your device
Browsing history
Device identifiers for advertising purposes
Any biometric data
NicoQuit does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app operates entirely offline.
The app uses the Google Fonts package, which bundles fonts locally within the app. No network requests are made to Google servers to fetch fonts.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend:
Keeping your device's operating system up to date
Using a screen lock (PIN, fingerprint, or face recognition)
Not sharing your device with untrusted individuals
Your data remains on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can delete all your data at any time by:
Uninstalling the app from your device
Clearing the app's data through your device's settings
Once deleted, data cannot be recovered as there are no backups stored externally.
NicoQuit is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app's subject matter (smoking cessation) is designed for adult users.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can:
View all your data within the app
Delete all your data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
Use the app without providing your real name
