A Journey of Education and Adaptability


Nicole’s educational journey has been marked by her ability to adapt to new environments. She began her high school education at Holderness School in New Hampshire before transferring to Methuen High School in Massachusetts. After completing her sophomore year, she made another transition, moving to Chelmsford High School for her senior year. Though her decision to transfer schools was met with some resistance from her previous school, it showed her ability to make tough choices and adapt to new circumstances.


After graduating high school, Nicole enrolled at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, in 2015. The move to a new city and school presented challenges, but it also opened her eyes to new ideas and perspectives, enriching her academic and personal growth. Later, she returned to Massachusetts and attended Middlesex Community College in Lowell, where she completed a business management course. This educational experience helped her build a foundation for her future career, providing her with essential skills that would prove valuable in her professional life.


Athletic Achievements and Dedication


Nicole’s involvement in sports has been one of the driving forces in her life. She excelled in various athletic disciplines, including softball, tennis, and snowboarding. As a softball player, she was a key member of multiple teams in competitive leagues such as USA, NSA, and ASA. These early years in team sports taught her the importance of teamwork, leadership, and dedication.


Nicole also played varsity tennis during high school, competing in several USTA tournaments. She earned several awards for her performance and demonstrated an early aptitude for competitive sports. However, her most notable athletic achievement came in 2007 when she won the national gold medal in Boardercross, a snowboarding event. This victory not only established her as one of the top snowboarding athletes in the country but also earned her recognition as a Sports Illustrated champion. Additionally, she received a Judges’ Choice Award for consistently finishing in the top three in several competitions. Her athletic accomplishments are a testament to her discipline, determination, and competitive spirit.


A Versatile Professional Career


Nicole’s professional career has been equally varied, with experiences across the hospitality, retail, and service industries. She began her professional journey in 2015 at Longhorn Steakhouse in Massachusetts, where she worked as a server and bartender. In this fast-paced environment, she quickly honed her ability to multitask, manage high-pressure situations, and provide exceptional customer service. During her time there, she became a certified bartender and earned ServSafe certification, ensuring she met the highest standards for food safety and customer service.


2019 Nicole shifted from hospitality to retail when she joined Verizon Wireless in Burlington, Massachusetts, as a sales associate. This career change allowed her to showcase her adaptability and sales abilities. She quickly excelled in her new role, consistently meeting and exceeding her sales goals and key performance indicators. Her ability to build customer rapport and excellent communication skills helped her thrive in this fast-paced, customer-facing environment.


Since November 2019, Nicole has worked as a service waitress at Burton’s Bar and Grill in Westford, Massachusetts. Here, she has continued applying the skills she developed in hospitality and retail, managing orders, payments, and customer service in a high-volume setting. Her ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a positive attitude under pressure has made her a valued team member.


Community Service and Volunteer Efforts


In addition to her professional and athletic pursuits, Nicole has been committed to giving back to her community. From 2006 to 2012, she actively participated in the March of Dimes campaigns, helping raise funds for families impacted by premature births and congenital disabilities. Her involvement in these efforts allowed her to develop leadership skills while making a meaningful contribution to a cause that helps countless families.


One of Nicole’s most personal volunteer efforts was her work with the Team Shelby campaign. Her cousin Shelby was born prematurely, weighing just one pound and ten ounces, and needed extensive medical care. She and her family worked together to raise funds to support Shelby’s treatment. Thanks to these efforts, Shelby has grown into a healthy young woman, and her involvement in her cousin’s journey is a testament to her compassion and desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
