I'm an assistant professor in the mathematics department at the College of Charleston, interested in representation theory of things like Lie algebras and related objects. I began teaching at CofC during the Fall 2022 semester.
Previously, I was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Reed College in Portland, OR (2019-2022), and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oklahoma (2016-2019) working primarily with Jon Kujawa (who has since moved to Oregon State). I also spent the Spring 2018 semester as a postdoctoral fellow at SLMath (formerly MSRI) for a program on representation theory of groups.
I did my PhD in mathematics at the University of Oregon (2011 - 2016), under the patient guidance of Jon Brundan. I earned a master's degree in mathematics from Boise State University (2009 - 2011) where my thesis was supervised by Jens Harlander.
