I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at UC Riverside.
My research focuses on how institutions and information interact to affect political behavior. In this research I primarily use experimental methods to identify the causal effects of these two factors.
I am a Principal Investigator in the Everyday Respect project that is developing multimodal, multi-perspective machine learning models to study communication between officers and drivers during traffic stops.
I also study how scholars can combine multiple research methods to improve the quality of research with a particular focus on the study of causal mechanisms .
I received my PhD from UC San Diego. You can find my Google Scholar link here.
