Nicholas Opalich stands out as a distinguished leader and consultant within the pharmaceutical sector, his roots deeply embedded in Northeast Ohio. With a career spanning over 25 years, his journey in the pharmacy domain is marked by notable achievements and deep-seated expertise in various facets of the industry, including mergers and acquisitions. His leadership roles have spanned different sectors, including hospice pharmaceutical claims processing, pharmacy benefits, and drug manufacturing. This breadth of experience has equipped him with valuable insights into hospice and palliative care pharmacy operations, as well as expertise in the areas of mail-order pharmacy systems, specialty infusion services, pharmaceutical procurement, and medication delivery systems. Under his guidance, numerous businesses have flourished, benefiting from his strategic foresight in company valuations.


A mentor at heart, Nicholas has also contributed significantly to developing teams across diverse operational areas such as hospice pharmacy operations, specialty medical benefit management, and corporate marketing, among others. His academic credentials include a solid foundation with bachelor's degrees in pharmacy and business management from David N. Myers University in Cleveland, Ohio.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, he dedicates himself to philanthropy and volunteer work, championing causes like animal welfare, poverty alleviation, public health, and support for homeless shelters. His life outside the office reflects his passions for family, football, sailing, and wrestling.

Currently, he is at the helm of HospiceChoice Rx as its Founder and CEO. Launched in 2023, this pharmacy benefit management company is dedicated to enhancing hospice care through efficient and compassionate pharmacy benefit administration. His leadership is now focused on expanding the company's reach by partnering with crucial hospice providers.


Opalich's career trajectory also highlights pivotal roles in establishing and growing healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations. In 1988, he founded Outpatient Physician Services of Cleveland, Inc. (OPSIC) and Outpatient Physician Services of America, Inc. (OPSIA), steering these companies through significant industry changes and regulatory challenges. His vision led OPSIA to acquire OPSIC, culminating in the formation of Continental Healthcare, Inc., a leading name in organ and bone marrow transplant and a top distributor for major pharmaceutical companies.


In 2002, Nick Opalich launched Strategica Health Partners in Cleveland, a consultancy firm specializing in healthcare services and pharmaceutical solutions. Through his leadership, Strategica became a pivotal player in the industry, partnering with notable healthcare providers and serving as an independent distributor. His tenure as CEO of Strategica, which concluded in 2013, was marked by successful engagements and substantial growth, solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader. Today, he continues to influence the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors as a managing partner at the firm, guiding it through its subsequent phases of innovation and expansion.
