This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data only to provide the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms of Use below.
Nia AI APP (hereinafter: 'app' or 'the App') is created and published by Nia AI APP under Turkish law (hereinafter: 'Nia AI APP', 'we', 'us' or 'our'). This Privacy Policy is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679). Contact: orhanerba@gmail.com.
The App lets you chat with fictional AI companions by text. Replies are written by an artificial-intelligence model operated by third parties. The App does not generate images. Section 2 explains exactly what is sent to them, and the App asks for your explicit permission on a dedicated screen before the first message is sent.
1. What data does the App obtain?
1.1 No account. You use the App without creating an account. On first launch the App signs you in anonymously with Google Firebase Authentication, which assigns a random user ID. This ID is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, Apple ID or any other identifier.
1.2 User Provided Data. The App obtains only the data you enter while using it:
a. The messages you type to a companion.
b. The conversation tone you choose (flirty, supportive, playful or calm).
c. The companions you mark as favourites.
d. Anything you write to us when you contact us for help by email.
1.3 Automatically Collected Data. The App collects:
a. The anonymous user ID described in 1.1.
b. Your subscription status, provided by Apple and RevenueCat when you subscribe or restore a purchase. We never receive your payment details.
c. Basic diagnostic data generated by the Firebase and RevenueCat software components, such as error logs, app version and device model, used only to keep the App working.
1.4 What we do not collect. The App does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, advertising identifier, browsing history, or any other data from your device. The App contains no advertising and no advertising or tracking software.
2. How we use your data and who receives it
2.1 Purposes. We use your data for these purposes only: to generate a companion's reply to your message; to show your conversation history when you reopen the App; to apply the tone you chose; to unlock unlimited messages when you subscribe; and to answer your support requests. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
2.2 Third-party AI service (chat replies). When you send a message, the App sends the following to our backend, which forwards it to OpenRouter, Inc. (United States): the text of your message, the tone you selected, and the fictional companion's character description. OpenRouter routes the request to the Google Gemini model, which writes the companion's reply. Your anonymous user ID is not included in that request, and nothing that identifies you is sent. 2.3 Storage. Your conversation history and your anonymous user ID are stored by Google Firebase (Google LLC) so that your conversations are available when you reopen the App. Google privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
2.4 Subscriptions. Subscription status is handled by RevenueCat, Inc. (United States), which receives an anonymous app-user ID and Apple's transaction receipt. RevenueCat privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. App Store purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
2.5 Each provider above is bound by its own privacy policy and terms and is required to protect the data it receives with the same or equal protection described in this policy. They do not have an independent right to use your data beyond providing their service to us.
2.6 We may also disclose data (a) as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process, or (b) when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
3. Your permission and control
3.1 Permission before sharing. The App shows a dedicated screen before your first message is sent, which states what is sent and who receives it. Nothing is sent to the AI service until you tap "I agree, continue". If you tap "Not now", no message is sent.
3.2 Withdrawing permission. You can withdraw permission at any time in the App under Settings › Privacy › "How Nia uses your messages". The App will not send anything further until you agree again.
3.3 Deleting conversations. You can delete any conversation from the chat's menu ("Clear history") or from the companion's profile. Deletion removes it from our storage as well.
3.4 Uninstalling. You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App using the standard uninstall process on your device. Uninstalling removes the anonymous ID from your device; because there is no account, any stored conversations become unreachable. To have them erased from our servers, email orhanerba@gmail.com.
3.5 Your rights under the GDPR. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data held under your anonymous ID by emailing orhanerba@gmail.com. Because we hold no identifying information, you will need to send the request from within the App's "Get in touch" option or describe the device and time of use so that we can locate the data.
4. Retention
4.1 Conversations are kept until you delete them or ask us to delete them. Subscription records are kept for as long as your subscription is active and for the period required by tax and accounting law. AI providers process message text only to generate a reply.
5. Business Transfers
5.1 Data about you may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets. In the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership, your data may also be transferred as a business asset, subject to this policy.
6. Children
6.1 The App is rated 17+ and is not intended for anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has used the App, please contact us and we will delete the associated data within a reasonable time.
7. Security
7.1 We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your data. All connections between the App, our backend and the providers listed above are encrypted in transit. The keys used to reach the AI providers are held on our servers and never ship inside the App. Access to stored conversations is restricted to your own anonymous ID by server-side security rules. Please be aware that, although we endeavour to provide reasonable security for the data we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
8. Face Data Collection and Usage
8.1 Our app does not collect, store, or process any face data. Specifically:
Collection of Face Data: The app does not capture, analyze, or retain facial recognition data or any biometric identifiers.
Planned Uses of Face Data: No face data is collected or utilized for any purposes within the app.
Third-Party Sharing: Since the app does not collect face data, there is no sharing of such data with third parties.
Storage of Face Data: As face data is not collected, there is no storage of this data on our servers, user devices, or any third-party systems.
Retention of Face Data: The app does not retain face data, as none is collected.
Disclosure in Privacy Policy: The app's collection, use, disclosure, sharing, and retention of face data is clearly stated here: "Our app does not collect, process, or store any face data."

9.1 We will update this page and the "Last updated" date whenever this policy changes. Material changes will also be shown inside the App.

Terms of Use
1. The App is provided by Nia AI APP. By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), which applies to your use of the App.
2. The companions in the App are fictional characters. Their replies are generated by an artificial-intelligence model and may be inaccurate. The App is for entertainment only and is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.
3. You must be at least 17 years old to use the App. You agree not to use the App to generate unlawful, harassing or harmful content.
4. The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
5. We may update the App and these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
