I received both BSc. and MSc. degrees in Electronics and Telecommunications from University of Science - Vietnam National University Hochiminh City (US-VNU) in 2010 and 2013 respectively. In 2018, I obtained a Ph.D. degree in engineering sciences & technologies, specialized in fiber communications at Electromagnetism and Telecom Department - University of Mons (FPMs-UMONS), Belgium.

From 2010 until Jan. 2015, I was employed as a research/teaching assistant in the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (FETEL), US-VNU. During this period my research involved the DSP for OFDM/MIMO wireless transmissions and cognitive radio network, and their FPGA implementations.

In 2015, I moved to Belgium to join an European funded research project (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions: FP7), namely Allied Initiative for Training and Education in Coherent Optical Networks (ICONE). From 2015 to 2018, I was with Proximus company (industrial partner of ICONE) as an optical engineer. At the same time, I was also pursuing a PhD program at FPMs-UMONS. My responsibility is to employ the advanced DSP techniques for high capacity, high constellation coherent systems. I have been focusing on several sub-topics such as machine learning techniques, e.g. support vector machine for fiber channel nonlinearity mitigation and phase noise compensation based on the Kalman filtering theory. In addition, several advanced modulation techniques including OFDM and FBMC have been studied to deal with fiber dispersive channel.

My main research interests are; DSP for fiber optics, optical communications, and hybrid radio/fiber communication systems. During my PhD study, I have first-authored 5 articles in peer reviewed journals, and over 5 papers in peer reviewed conferences in the areas of optical communications.
