I am currently a Professor of Mathematics at The University of Akron Department of Mathematics. Previously I was a postdoctoral fellow at Michigan State University with Jon Hall and Ulrich Meierfrankenfeld as my mentors. I received my Ph.D. in 2008 from the University of Florida under the supervision of Pham Huu Tiep

My research is in the areas of Group Theory and Representation Theory. Primary research interests include finite groups of Lie type and their representations, Deligne–Lusztig theory, complex/modular representations, ordinary/Brauer characters, and Brauer's p-blocks.
