Webpage Content: When you actively click the "Summarize", "Chat", or use the "Context Menu" features, we temporarily extract text from your current active webpage.
Account Data: We generate an anonymous, unique User ID (UUID) that is securely stored in your local browser and our cloud database to track your usage limits (Free vs. PRO plans).
Payment Information: If you upgrade to our PRO plan, payments are processed securely via our merchant of record, Paddle. We do not collect, see, or store your credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the purpose of providing the service to you:
The text extracted from webpages is securely transmitted to our AI provider (DeepSeek API) in real-time to generate your requested summaries or responses.
We use your anonymous User ID strictly for quota management and validating premium subscriptions.
3. Data Retention & Storage
No Permanent Storage of Web Data: The text or content you analyze using NexusAI is processed on the fly and is never permanently stored on our servers.
Your local Custom Prompts and Personas are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure local storage API.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties.
Data is only shared with our AI provider (DeepSeek) strictly for the technical purpose of generating text, and they are prohibited from using this data to train their public models.
You have the right to uninstall the extension at any time. Uninstalling the extension will clear all locally stored data, including your anonymous User ID and custom prompts.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
