NextTalk lets you rehearse a difficult conversation out loud with an AI partner. Doing that means handling your voice and the things you say, so this page sets out exactly what we collect, who processes it, and how you get rid of it.
NextTalk is operated by OkiDoki Apps, which is the controller of the personal data described here.
For anything in this policy, write to rbmobileapps@gmail.com
You can use NextTalk without giving us a name, an email address, or anything else. The app creates an anonymous account for you at first launch.
We keep what you rehearse — the situation you describe, the transcript, and the coaching results — so your history and progress work.
Your voice is processed by ElevenLabs to hold the conversation, and a recording is sent to Google's Gemini model to judge how you sounded. We do not store the recording ourselves.
There is no advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, no analytics SDK, and no advertising identifier. We do not sell your data and never will.
You can delete your account and everything attached to it from inside the app, in the menu behind the hamburger, without asking us.
At first launch the app signs you in anonymously: a random account identifier, nothing else. If you later create an account or sign in, we hold your email address, and — if you use Sign in with Apple or Google — whatever those services return to us, which is an email address and sometimes a name. We never receive your Apple or Google password. If you use Apple's private relay address, that relay address is all we get.
The display name you choose, the kinds of conversation you said you want to work on, your stated goal, and your default difficulty setting. All of it is optional and editable in the app.
For each practice session: the scenario title, the situation you type in your own words, your goal for it, the difficulty and format you picked, the full transcript of the conversation, when it started and ended, and how long it ran.
The score, headline, written summary, per-criterion marks and coaching notes generated for a session, together with delivery measurements taken on your device while you spoke — speaking pace, response time, filler words and interruptions — and the voice analysis described in section 4.
If you subscribe, we record which plan you hold, when the period renews, and how much practice time you have left. Subscription events from Apple reach us through RevenueCat and are stored so entitlements can be reconciled. We never see your card details — the payment happens entirely inside Apple's system.
A small number of local flags, such as whether you have finished onboarding. These stay on the device and are removed when you delete the app.
Our servers log the ordinary technical information any internet service receives when your app connects — IP address, timestamps, error diagnostics — which we use to keep the service working and to spot abuse. The app also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts at runtime, which means Google receives your IP address when that request is made.
We do not collect: contacts, photos, location, health data, browsing history, or an advertising identifier. The app declares camera access because the real-time communication framework it is built on includes video support; NextTalk never turns the camera on and never records or transmits video.
This is the part that deserves plain language.
When you start a rehearsal, the app asks for microphone access — it will not listen before you grant it, and you can withdraw it at any time in iOS Settings, which simply stops rehearsals from working. The audio then streams to ElevenLabs, which produces the AI partner's speech and returns a transcript. ElevenLabs retains the recording of the conversation on their systems so that it can be analysed afterwards.
If your plan includes voice analysis, our server fetches that recording from ElevenLabs and sends it, together with a fixed instruction, to Google's Gemini model, which judges how you sounded — tone, pace, hesitation — and returns written notes. The transcript is sent to the same model to produce the coaching feedback.
We store the resulting notes and scores. We do not keep a copy of the audio on our own systems.
Your voice is used only to run and assess the rehearsal. It is never used to identify you, never used to build a voice profile, and never used to train anyone's models. Because it is not used for identification, it is not biometric data in the sense the GDPR uses that term.

Legitimate interests
A short rolling window
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed them against your rights and concluded that running a working, non-abused service is what you expect of us when you open the app.
We use a small number of service providers, each bound by a data processing agreement and each doing one job:
Supabase — hosts the database and authentication. Holds your profile, transcripts and results.
ElevenLabs — runs the live voice conversation and retains the recording so it can be analysed.
Google (Gemini) — scores the transcript and the recording and returns the coaching notes.
RevenueCat — reconciles subscriptions with the App Store. Receives your account identifier and the store's transaction events.
Apple — processes the payment itself, and provides Sign in with Apple if you use it.
Google — provides Google sign-in if you use it, and serves the app's typefaces.
Beyond these, we disclose personal data only where the law compels us to. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
Some of the providers above process data in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or by the provider's certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, together with the additional safeguards in our agreements with them.
Open the menu behind the hamburger in the top bar and choose Delete account. After you confirm, your profile and every session, transcript and result attached to it are deleted from our database. This cannot be undone, and you do not have to ask us or wait for us.
Signing out instead leaves your data in place and simply detaches this device from the account.
Deleting the app from your phone removes the local flags but does not delete your account — use Delete account first if that is what you want.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what happened before.
Most of this is faster to do in the app than by writing to us — you can edit your profile, delete individual sessions, and delete the whole account yourself. For anything else, write to rbmobileppas@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you may complain to your local supervisory authority. In Poland that is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, Warsaw).
NextTalk is built for conversations about real people — a manager, a colleague, a family member. When you describe a situation or speak during a rehearsal, please avoid naming other people or giving details that identify them. Anything you do include is stored and processed exactly like the rest of the session, and you remain responsible for what you choose to put in.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Your rows in the database are protected by row-level security rules, which means a signed-in account can only ever read and write its own profile, sessions and results — the isolation is enforced by the database itself, not by the app asking politely. Keys that could be abused never ship inside the app; they live on the server and are used there.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your rights, we will notify the supervisory authority and, where required, you.
NextTalk is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and given us their data, write to us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
