Objectives:

As a member of Newtown's Legislative Council I would hope to draw on my 30 plus years of experience in the financial industry. I am very interested in the budget process having lived in Newtown for 30 years. With my background and skills in data analysis and preparation of reports my ultimate goal for Newtown would be to assist in the growth of the town while practicing financial responsibility.

  • 2012 - 2013, 2015-Present Representative for District 2 Legislative Council
    • Member of the Education Committee.
    • Member of the Finance & Administration Committee.
  • I have worked in various volunteer board positions for over 20 years in Newtown. An active member of the Newtown Youth Basketball Association since 1991. From 1991-2001 served as League Director for various levels and from 2001 to 2011 as the League Director for the Jr. Boys (7th & 8th Grade). I have just assumed the position of the VP of In-House. This is responsible for all of the in-house programs (servicing more than 1,000 children of Newtown).
  • Served on the board of the Newtown Youth Softball Association 1991-1998
  • Leader High School Youth Group Newtown Congregational Church 1995-1999
  • Current position - VP of Trading Operations
    1. Responsible for $1 Billion in insurance assets.
    2. Calculate cash need for four insurance companies and invest unused cash on an overnight basis or longer as needed.
    3. Managed successfully investment in shares, debentures and derivatives of four insurance companies.
    4. Perform compliance review of all custodians and outside investment managers.
    5. Serve on investment committee for publicly traded company.
  • Newtown resident 32 years, married to Anna for 42 years, 3 children, 3 grandchildren, one of which started kindergarten in Newtown this year.
