News From the Alaska Subduction Zone
Virtual Seminar Series • Fall 2023
Wednesdays, 1 PM Eastern Time
Organizers: Julie Elliott (Michigan State University), Jeff Freymueller (Michigan State University), Ronni Grapenthin (University of Alaska Fairbanks)
With the (ever increasing) number of large earthquakes that have occurred recently and the Alaska Amphibious Community Experiment, there is a great deal of new information coming from the Alaska subduction zone. During this virtual seminar series, we plan to explore this new wealth of information through speakers covering a broad range of topics including geodesy, seismology, geology, and petrology.
The schedule listed below will be evolving - check back for updates. Recordings of each seminar will be posted under each date after the seminar. If you would like to receive emails about the seminar series including registration information for each week's seminar, please sign up for the email list by sending a blank email to : ak-subzone-news+subscribe@googlegroups.com
If you have questions or have a suggestion for a speaker, please email Julie Elliott (ellio372@msu.edu).
