はじめに
日本国政府は、海外子女教育について、日本国の主権が及ばない外国においては種々の制約があるため、第一義的には現地在留邦人（親）の自助努力によって行われるもの、としています。つまり、子女教育の基本は各家庭にあり、本校はそれを「補う」ための「補習授業校」として位置づけられています。日本国の義務教育機関ではないことを、予めよくご理解ください。また、非常に限られた授業時間となっているため、毎回多くの宿題が課されます。従って、保護者の宿題および家庭学習に対する指導と協力が、学習を進める上で非常に重要となります。
本校の教育目的
本校は、教育適齢の日本国籍を持つ子女および運営委員会の認めた子女に対して、日本の教育制度に準じた教育を日本語で行い、当該子女が将来日本の学校へ円滑に編入学できるよう、基幹教科の基礎的知識、技能および日本の学校文化を習得する事を目的としています。
設置学部と主要教育内容
幼稚部（年中及び年長）
原則として日本語を母国語とする子女を対象に、日本語（ひらがな、カタカナ）と日本の伝統・文化を学ぶ機会を提供します。
小学部及び中学部
原則として日本語を母国語とする子女を対象に、基幹教科である「国語」及び「算数／数学」を日本国政府の定める学習指導要領書に基づいて教育します。
国際部
主として日本語を母国語としない子女（７歳～１７歳）を対象に、日本語（ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字）と日本の伝統文化を学ぶ機会を提供します。国際部には、日本語レベルに応じた３コース（国際１/2/3）が設置されており、１年間のコースとなっています。
International Courses（7 to 17 year-old children）
These courses provide an opportunity to learn Japanese language as a second language and Japanese tradition & culture for the children who are non-Japanese speaker. We normally open 3 Courses;
(1) International course 1 (1 year)
This course is primarily focused on basic conversation in Japanese, including greetings, counting, and Japanese grammar. Students are encouraged to read and write Hiragana characters. The class will be conducted in both Japanese and English depending on the student’s needs.
(2) International course 2 (1 year)
This course is primarily focused on basic conversation in Japanese, including greetings, counting, and Japanese grammar. Students are encouraged to read and write Hiragana and Katakana characters, and Kanji characters at the very basic level. The class will be conducted in both Japanese and English depending on the student’s needs.
(3) International course 3 (1 year)
This course is designed for students to be able to converse with greater ease and to write short sentences about their daily life in Japanese with sentence structures, grammar, Kanji characters at the student’s grade level. The class is generally conducted in Japanese mainly.
