What We Believe

Our overall approach to Scripture is reflected in the statement:

"In essentials unity, In non-essentials liberty, and in all things love."

We consider ourselves Authentic, because we believe the orthodox truths handed down through the centuries. We believe that truth exists (though sometimes we struggle with what that truth is) and when we speak the words of the creed, we actually believe what we are saying.

We consider ourselves Reformed, because, like Jan Huss and Martin Luther, we believe in the "solas" of the reformation. Sola Scriptura, by scripture alone, Sola Fide, by faith alone Sola Gratia, by grace alone, Solus Christus, through Christ alone, Soli Deo Gloria, for the glory of God alone.

In the original sense of the word we consider ourselves Evangelical, because as disciples we are called to obey Christ by sharing the Gospel and making new disciples.
