• Fellowship Dinner: Wednesday Aug 12th @ 6 pm: Grilled hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, chips & deserts. Come for the food and enjoy the fellowship. Meal followed by Bible Study @ 7 pm.

• Meetings: 

  • Wednesday Aug 12th - Missions Committee meets during dinner

  • Sunday Aug 16th - Deacon Elections after Worship

• Nursery Worker - We no longer have a paid nursery worker. If you are willing to volunteer to take a Sunday until we're able to hire someone, please see Pam Aycock (540-538-5861). 

• Wednesday Bible study 6 pm led by Johnathan Bryson. Join us for the Sermon on the Mount Matthew Chapters 5 - 7. This week bible study is at 7 pm after fellowship dinner.

• Food Drive for CAM:  CAM's shelves empty quickly because the need is so great. Place items on the shelves just inside the sanctuary door.  Thanks for your continued generosity. 

  • • Items include: Jelly, Muffin Mix, Cake Mix, Sugar, Flour, Puddings, Jello, Canned Milk, Canned Vegetables (no corn), Soups, Canned Meats and Fish.

• Davis-Summey-Dale Circle is collecting for Sherwood Elementary School: Kleenex, Disinfectant Wipes, Sweatpants & leggings Size 4-14. Please place items on the bench outside the sanctuary in the hall. 

• Items for the Homeless:  Our homeless ministry is in need of Gatorade, Water, Crackers & Chips, Beef Jerky, Flashlights, Wash Clothes, Soap & Toenail clippers. Please place items on the shelves in the entryway.

•  Missions Committee

• • Share Your Blessings With CAM: a collection of loose change, cash and checks can be placed in the bucket in the back of the sanctuary. 

• • CAM is looking for volunteers. They are open Monday through Thursday 10 am to 2 pm, If you can serve 2 or 4 hours one of these days, please see Nealia Brunson.

These activities occur weekly:

1. Senior Bible Study 9:45 am Sunday mornings in the parlor.  

2. Children's Bible Study during Worship on Sunday's. We need one volunteer adult to help Elizabeth and Pam on Sunday mornings. Please let Pam Aycock know if you are willing to help occasionally.

3. Sunday Morning Worship 11am.

4. Wednesday Bible study led by Johnathan Bryson.

These Activities Occur Monthly:

1. Davis-Summey-Dale Circle (Women's Missions) meets in the parlor every Second Monday @ 10:00 AM. Contact Pat Ballard at 704-616-6850 for more information. 

A Word from our Pastor

One of our internal policies at New Hope is to ensure we have 2 adults (18 and over) at all times when we are caring for and providing programs for our children.  This would include the nursery and Children’s Church on Sunday mornings and Wednesdays for the Children's Music Ministry.  Volunteers do not need to prepare a lesson but provide safety and an extra pair of hands.  See Pam Aycock if you are willing to help. Other Mission Opportunities 

Year Round We Collect:

1. Water, Gatorade, toilet paper, paper towels and single serve meats and fruit, Snacks, and tents for the Homeless Community.

2. Ziplock bags of Can tabs for the Early College High School to be used for the Ronald McDonald House at Carolinas Medical Center. 

3. Clean Plastic or Paper Shopping Bags for CAM.

4. CAM Also Needs: canned potatoes, instant potatoes, dressing, dried beans, jelly, single serve fruits and vegetables, baked items like cake mix, icing, boxes of Jell-O, canned milk, muffin mix, brownie mix etc.

These items can be placed on the shelves in the front hallway by the restrooms.
