Newcomer Health ECHO SERIES
The Newcomer Health ECHO series is for health care providers who want to expand their knowledge of resettlement and health issues of newcomers, including refugee, immigrant and migrant (RIM) populations. This series will review resettlement pathways, evidence-based screening recommendations and more common diagnoses and treatment approaches for pediatric and adult newcomer populations.
Live ECHO sessions are held virtually on the last Tuesday of the month.
Session Start Time: 8AM PT | 9AM MT | 10AM CT | 11AM ET.
SESSION INFORMATION
Sessions include brief didactic presentations by immigrant health experts and discussion of participant-submitted cases. Participants are highly encouraged to submit de-identified patient cases for group discussion and expert consultation. CLICK HERE to submit a case.
Sessions have applied for Continuing Medical Education Credit through the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). The expected term of approval is from 1/30/2024 to 01/29/2025. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the series.
This nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) activity was approved by Colorado Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Participants should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the series.
To receive credit for the session, participants must attend and participate in at least 50% of the session and complete a post-session evaluation survey by the indicated deadline.

In order to receive continuing education credits, evaluation surveys must be completed by the indicated deadline.
PATIENT CASE SUBMISSION
The Newcomer Health ECHO leverages evidence-based learning models, including case-based learning. Participants of ECHOs have consistently told us that sharing cases is one of the most helpful aspects of an ECHO series. This is an opportunity for participants to submit questions about a newcomer patient case that can be discussed in a collegial and supportive environment.

Newcomer Health Recorded Sessions
Recordings of the 2024 Newcomer Health sessions will be available for those who cannot attend the live sessions. Sessions include didactic presentations by newcomer health experts, along with examples of cases and how to work through them.
Registration for the Live series is required to access session recordings.
Session recordings should be available 2-4 weeks after the respective live session date.
CME or NCPD credits are not available for session recordings.
