First there was one artist renting a space in the historic Newcastle Fruit Packing Shed.  Soon she was joined by another, then another, and now there are nine artists occupying working studios in the old buidling that is in the center of Old Town Newcastle, California.

The high ceilings and solid wood floors lend themselves to studio and gallery use and the common area is a comfortable place to enjoy our current artworks on display.  In addition to experiencing the amazing gallery, can to stroll through the working studios of nine unique and talented artists who call the shed their artistic home.  

We also hope you will consider participating in the fine art classes offered in our engaging classroom, taught by award winning, experienced artists who are called to share their expertise and passion with students of all ability levels.

We look forward to seeing you at the Shed! We are usually open Thursday through Saturday from Noon to 4pm.  During the summer months, artists will often stay until 8pm on Saturday evenings.
