At Home Personal Trainer - How Does it Compare to a Gym Trainer?

Most of us will get to a stage in our lives where we need to source outside help in order to lose weight fast and effectively. An at home personal trainer is the ideal option for many people. Lifestyle choices, work and social commitments generally guide us into making this decision.

But how does a personal trainer at the gym compare to an online trainer? Is one truly better than the other? And how do you decide which is best without going through the hassle of spending a great deal of money to find out?

Today I would like to discuss and compare a couple of important aspects on the subject.

Flexibility and Mobility

Whilst I have tried both options and each with a great deal of success. Sometimes it is not always convenient to meet a trainer at the gym. An at home personal trainer program can and will give you a great deal of flexibility and mobility.

A lot of these trainers also use simple equipment and your own body weight to dramatically transform your shape. If you travel a lot for your job this choice is brilliant. No big bulky pieces of equipment are required. If you prefer to workout late at night or super early in the morning, the choice is yours and yours alone to make.

Cost Effective Comparison

Joining a gym is as you probably know expensive. Some will argue that they enjoy the social aspect however in most cases people stop using the membership 3-6 months after joining. And they find it difficult to get it canceled. When you join a gym you will find that you have to agree to a contractual agreement. This could be over 12 to 36 months or more.

If you decide that the gym scenario is not for you, then it is up to you to try and on sell that membership. This is of course if the gym permits the sale of your contract.

At home personal trainers generally charge the one time fee and in some cases this can be less than $50.00. This generally comes with the same amount if not more information, exercise and nutritional advice than a standard personal trainer.

In terms of a cost comparison you really cannot argue as to which option fits in with most budgets!. On top of gym fees you also have to pay your personal trainer. This can vary from $40.00 to as much as $70.00 or more per session.

Personal Contact Through Training

Yes agreed it is great to physically talk to a trainer about any concerns, extra advice or so forth that is required on your part. However most at home  small group sessions packages come with email contact. If you really need someone to bounce ideas off, talk to a friend, your partner or a work colleague.

At the end of the day the choice is yours. What I can be sure of is that once I made the decision to adopt an at home personal trainer I never looked back. My body has dramatically changed with a huge drop in my body fat percentage and muscle definition.
