The standout product here is the 8-inch wide rim aluminum pan sold in a pack of six. This isn't a mesh screen; it is a solid, heavy-duty tray designed specifically for the unique demands of commercial kitchens. The construction relies on durable aluminum that promotes even heat distribution, which is critical when you are baking multiple individual pizzas back-to-back. Unlike thin disposable options, this piece is built to survive the rigors of a professional environment without warping or losing its shape after repeated wash cycles.
I recommend this pan primarily for operations that serve individual portions or appetizer-sized slices. The wide rim is not just a design flourish; it serves a functional purpose by improving grip during transport. When you are sliding a hot pan from a conveyor oven to a pass-through window, that extra lip prevents accidental spills and keeps the food securely in place. It allows staff to bake, transport, and serve in the same vessel, which significantly reduces the number of dishes needing washing and streamlines the entire service flow.
This item fits perfectly into pizzerias, catering services, and restaurants that prioritize speed and presentation. The 8-inch diameter offers a versatile size that works well for personal pizzas, savory tarts, or even as a sturdy cake dish for desserts. However, there is a trade-off to consider. Because it is a solid pan rather than a mesh screen, it does not offer the same level of airflow beneath the dough. If your primary goal is achieving an ultra-crispy bottom crust through maximum air circulation, a solid pan might result in a slightly softer base compared to an open mesh alternative. It is the better choice for structure and handling, not necessarily for extreme crust crispiness.
This 10-inch seamless aluminum baking screen is engineered for professionals who demand consistency in their crust texture. The defining feature here is the open mesh design, which actively promotes airflow beneath the dough. In a high-heat commercial oven, this airflow helps prevent the common issue of soggy middles by allowing moisture to escape more efficiently. The seamless construction ensures there are no crevices for dough to get caught or tear, making it much easier to slide raw dough onto the screen and retrieve the finished pie without damaging the delicate edges.
I see this specific size as the ideal middle ground for many restaurant menus. It accommodates standard lunch or dinner-sized pizzas without taking up excessive rack space. The material is lightweight yet robust enough to handle the thermal shock of going from a cold prep station directly into a scorching oven. For bakeries and catering operations, this screen supports both baking and reheating tasks, ensuring that leftovers regain their original texture rather than becoming dry or rubbery.
The main advantage of this screen over a solid pan is the enhanced browning and crispness it delivers. However, the trade-off lies in handling the raw dough. While the seamless edge helps, working with loose dough on a mesh surface requires a bit more finesse than placing it on a solid tray. You must ensure the dough is evenly stretched to cover the mesh properly, or toppings might fall through during the initial stages of baking. It is a tool that rewards skill with superior results but demands attention to detail during the prep phase.

Moving up in size, this 16-inch seamless aluminum baking screen is built for the heavy lifters of the pizza world. It is designed for professional and home kitchens that regularly tackle large, family-style pies. The open mesh design scales up to accommodate this larger surface area, ensuring that heat circulates evenly across the entire diameter. Without such circulation, a pizza of this size often ends up with a burnt center and a pale edge, but this screen mitigates that risk by maintaining consistent temperature contact throughout the baking process.
For owners of busy pizzerias or caterers managing large events, this 16-inch screen is a non-negotiable piece of equipment. It allows for the staging of multiple large pizzas simultaneously, keeping the workflow efficient during peak hours. The durable aluminum construction is meant to withstand the wear and tear of daily commercial use, resisting warping even under intense heat. The seamless nature of the screen means there are no weak points where dough can snag, which is crucial when dealing with larger, heavier dough balls that require careful handling.
The primary benefit here is the ability to produce uniform, large-format pizzas with a crispy foundation. The trade-off is storage and maneuverability. A 16-inch screen takes up significant space in your oven racks and requires more room to maneuver when sliding it in and out. If your kitchen has limited depth or if you frequently bake smaller items, this large screen might feel cumbersome. It is a specialized tool for those whose business model relies on large portion sizes rather than quick, small bites.
This 18-inch aluminum baking screen represents the upper limit of standard pizza sizes available in this line. It is tailored for establishments that specialize in giant, shareable pies or those that need to stage massive orders for large gatherings. Like its smaller counterparts, it features a seamless design that prevents dough from catching, but the sheer scale of the 18-inch diameter changes the dynamics of how you use it. The open mesh design is essential here because the surface area is so vast that uneven heat would otherwise lead to disastrous results.
I view this screen as a niche solution for high-volume catering or specialized pizzerias. The ability to bake an 18-inch pizza on a single screen simplifies the process, eliminating the need to cut pizzas into quarters before serving. The durable aluminum construction ensures it can handle the weight of a fully loaded, large pie without bending. It is also suitable for reheating large quantities of food, making it a versatile asset in a busy kitchen. The seamless edges make cleaning straightforward, as there are no hard-to-reach corners where grease can accumulate.
However, the trade-off is obvious: availability and compatibility. Not every commercial oven has the capacity to accommodate an 18-inch round object comfortably. You must verify that your oven racks and door clearances can handle this dimension before committing. Additionally, the larger surface area requires more dough and sauce, which increases the cost per unit if you do not have the volume to justify it. It is a powerful tool for the right operation, but it is overkill for a small shop or a home kitchen with limited space.
New Star Foodservice Restaurant-Grade Seamless Aluminum
This pack of six 8-inch seamless aluminum baking screens offers a compact solution for high-volume production of small pizzas. The open mesh design ensures that even these smaller pies get the benefit of airflow, leading to crispier crusts and even browning that solid pans struggle to achieve. The seamless construction is particularly important here because 8-inch pies are often handled quickly and repeatedly; any rough edge could snag the dough and ruin the presentation. Buying them as a pack of six allows you to keep a steady rotation, swapping out dirty screens for fresh ones without interrupting the workflow.
This option is ideal for pizzerias, bakeries, and catering operations that focus on individual servings or appetizers. The 8-inch size is versatile enough for personal pizzas, deep-dish starters, or even sweet treats like fruit tarts. The lightweight aluminum makes it easy for staff to move the trays in and out of the oven rapidly, which is essential during rush hours. The durability of the material means these screens will last through countless cycles of baking and washing, providing a reliable return on investment.
The trade-off with this small size is the limitation on portion capacity. If your customers expect a full-size meal on a single pie, an 8-inch screen will not suffice. It forces you to either sell multiple small pizzas per order or stick strictly to appetizers. Furthermore, while the mesh provides excellent airflow, it requires careful dough management to ensure the crust doesn't slip through the gaps. It is a fantastic tool for speed and efficiency in small-format cooking, but it lacks the versatility for larger meals.
New Star Foodservice Restaurant-Grade Seamless Aluminum
The 10-inch seamless aluminum baking screen sold in a pack of six strikes a balance between portability and capacity. This size is a staple in many restaurants, offering enough room for a satisfying meal without being unwieldy. The open mesh design continues to deliver on the promise of airflow, ensuring that the bottom of the crust browns evenly and achieves that desirable crunch. The seamless construction eliminates the risk of dough sticking in seams, which is a common frustration with older, lower-quality screens. Having six of them on hand allows a kitchen to maintain a continuous baking cycle, essential for meeting demand during busy evenings.
I recommend this pack for bakeries and restaurants that need a reliable, go-to size for their core menu. The 10-inch diameter is large enough to hold generous toppings and a substantial amount of dough, making it suitable for lunch specials and dinner entrees. The lightweight nature of the aluminum means staff can handle them easily, reducing fatigue during long shifts. The durability of the material ensures they can withstand the rigors of commercial dishwashers and high-temperature ovens without degrading.
The trade-off here is similar to other mesh screens: the need for precise dough stretching. Because the surface is open, the dough must be taut enough to support itself and the toppings. If the dough is too loose, it may sag into the mesh, creating an uneven cook. Additionally, while 10 inches is a standard size, it may not be large enough for families looking for a massive, shareable pie. It is a workhorse for daily operations but might require a larger screen option for special orders or large gatherings.
This 12-inch seamless aluminum baking screen, available in a pack of six, is designed for those who need a step up from the standard 10-inch without jumping to the massive 16-inch. The open mesh design promotes superior airflow, which is crucial for achieving an even bake across the wider surface area. The seamless construction ensures that dough slides on and off smoothly, preventing tears and maintaining the integrity of the crust. Having six units allows for a robust inventory that supports high-volume baking without constant downtime for cleaning.
This size is perfect for restaurants that cater to families or groups looking for a hearty meal. The 12-inch diameter provides ample space for a variety of toppings without overcrowding the pie, ensuring that flavors meld together well. The durable aluminum construction is built to withstand repeated use in demanding commercial environments, making it a sound investment for any serious kitchen. The lightweight design facilitates easy handling, allowing staff to move the trays efficiently during peak service times.
The trade-off is that 12 inches sits in a somewhat awkward middle ground for some markets. Some customers might find it slightly small for a full dinner, while others might find it too large for a quick lunch. It requires a kitchen to have the right oven capacity to handle this size comfortably. Additionally, like all mesh screens, it demands a certain level of skill in dough preparation to ensure it stays taut and does not sag. It is a versatile option for those who want to expand their menu beyond standard sizes but don't need the largest options.
New Star Foodservice Restaurant-Grade Seamless Aluminum
The 16-inch seamless aluminum baking screen sold in a pack of six is the ultimate solution for high-volume operations focusing on large-format pizzas. This set of six screens ensures that a busy kitchen can handle multiple large orders simultaneously without waiting for a single tray to cool down. The open mesh design is critical at this scale, distributing heat evenly to prevent the common pitfalls of uneven baking found in larger solid pans. The seamless construction guarantees that even the heaviest, most loaded pizzas can be slid in and out without damage.
I believe this pack is essential for pizzerias and catering companies that specialize in large, family-style meals. The 16-inch size is a customer favorite for group dining, and having a ready supply of these screens keeps the operation running smoothly. The durable aluminum material is designed to last through years of heavy use, resisting warping and corrosion. The lightweight nature of the screens makes them manageable despite their size, allowing staff to work efficiently even during the busiest rushes.
The trade-off is primarily logistical. Storing six 16-inch screens requires significant space, and not all ovens can accommodate them all at once. You may need to rotate batches, which can slow down service if not planned carefully. Furthermore, the larger size requires more dough and ingredients, increasing the cost per unit. If your customer base prefers smaller, personal pizzas, these screens might sit idle. It is a powerful tool for scaling up production, but it requires a corresponding demand for large pies to justify the investment.
We compared published specs and features across the entire lineup; the ranking is our independent editorial opinion based on design utility and commercial suitability; no brand paid for placement.
Yes, the durable aluminum construction is designed to withstand commercial dishwashers and repeated cleaning cycles without warping.
The seamless design is beneficial for sticky doughs as it minimizes areas where gluten-free batter might catch or tear during transfer.
Absolutely, the open mesh and solid pans are versatile enough for baking flatbreads, focaccia, and even certain types of casseroles or tarts.
The solid pan offers better support for transport and serving with less airflow, while the mesh screen prioritizes crispiness through enhanced air circulation.
