NeverLate (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal productivity app that helps you plan your schedule and never be late to events. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Calendar Events: Event names, times, and locations that you create or sync from your device calendar
Saved Places: Home address, work address, and other locations you save for quick access
Event Photos: Images you capture or share with the app for automatic event extraction
Extracted Text: Text recognized from your photos to identify event details
Location Data: Your current location (when you grant permission) to calculate travel times and directions
Device Calendar Data: Events from your device calendar (when you grant permission) to display and manage your schedule
App Usage Data: How you interact with the app (screens viewed, features used) to help us improve the experience
Crash Reports: Technical information about app errors to help us fix bugs
Device Information: Device model and operating system version for compatibility and troubleshooting
To provide certain features, we send data to third-party services:
Google Maps API: Location queries for directions, travel times, and place searches
OpenAI API: Image analysis for extracting event details from photos
Google Gemini API: Image analysis for extracting event details from photos (images are sent to Google servers)
Perplexity API: Venue research and parking information lookups
We use your information to:
Display your upcoming events and schedule
Calculate optimal departure times based on travel conditions
Send you timely reminders and alarms
Extract event details from photos you share
Provide directions and travel time estimates
Improve app performance and fix bugs
Understand how features are used to make the app better
Local Storage: Most of your data (events, saved places, preferences) is stored locally on your device
No Account Required: We do not require you to create an account
No Server Storage: We do not store your personal data on our servers
Android Backup: If you have Android backup enabled on your device, your app preferences (but not event data) may be backed up to your Google account
When you use certain features, your data may be processed by the following services:
Google Maps Platform (Privacy Policy) - Provides directions, travel times, and place searches
OpenAI (Privacy Policy) - Analyzes images to extract event details
Google AI (Gemini) (Privacy Policy) - Analyzes images to extract event details
Perplexity AI (Privacy Policy) - Provides venue and parking information
Google ML Kit - Performs on-device text recognition from images. This processing happens locally on your device and does not send image data to external servers.
PostHog (Privacy Policy) - Helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Collects anonymous usage data such as which screens are viewed and which features are used.
Firebase Crashlytics (Privacy Policy) - Automatically collects crash reports when the app encounters an error, helping us identify and fix bugs quickly.
Firebase Analytics (Privacy Policy) - Collects anonymous app usage statistics, including conversion events (such as purchases and onboarding completion). This data may be shared with Google Ads to measure and optimize advertising campaigns.
RevenueCat (Privacy Policy) - Manages in-app subscriptions and purchases. Processes purchase transactions and subscription status.
Data sent to these services is used only to provide the requested functionality and is subject to their respective privacy policies.
Location: To calculate travel times from your current location
Calendar: To read and write events to your device calendar
Camera: To capture photos for event extraction
Notifications: To send you departure reminders and alarms
Alarms & Reminders: To schedule and display alarm notifications at precise times
Run at Startup: To restore your scheduled alarms after your device restarts
Display Over Other Apps: To show alarm notifications even when using other apps
Battery Optimization Exemption: To ensure alarms are delivered reliably and not delayed by battery saving features
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data with third-party services as described above to provide app functionality. Anonymous conversion event data (such as purchase and onboarding events) may be shared with Google Ads to measure and optimize our advertising campaigns.
Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete the app or clear app data
Some cached data (like parking information) automatically expires after 30 days
Data sent to third-party APIs is processed according to their retention policies
Analytics data is retained in aggregate form to understand long-term usage trends
NeverLate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You can:
Revoke app permissions at any time through your device settings
Delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
Choose not to use features that require certain permissions
Disable Android backup to prevent preference data from being backed up
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app.
