Call for Papers

UPDATE: We welcome late-breaking submissions, with the formatting guidelines below. Accepted late-breaking works will be presented as posters. Papers can be submitted by Sept 30, AoE at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/LIRE2019


We invite the submission of full 6-8 page papers, with unlimited space for references and supplementary materials. The submissions should follow the NeurIPS 2019 style and formatting guidelines. The review process is double-blind. The submissions should not have been previously published nor have appeared in the NeurIPS main conference. Work currently under submission to another conference is welcome.

Relevant topics include but are not limited to:

  • Works that theoretically study varying modes of learning and supervision and their formal connections
  • Works that combine multiple modes of supervision, such as rewards, expert demonstrations, and language
  • Works that learn from non-traditional or weak forms of supervision, such as structured knowledge, human preferences, or dialogue
  • Works that present novel unification of distinct algorithms for improved modeling and learning in general
  • Benchmarks or real-world applications of these problem settings

Submissions will be accepted as contributed talks or poster presentations. Accepted papers will be posted on the workshop website. Accepted papers are free to appear in other journals or conference proceedings.
