Privacy Policy for NetRunner

NetRunner ("we", "our", or "the app") is a flashcard learning application. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the NetRunner app on Android (Google Play) and other platforms.

1. Information We Collect

Data stored on your device (local only)

• Decks, flashcards (text and images you add), learning progress, review counts, and app settings (theme, language) are stored only on your device using local storage. We do not upload this content to our servers.

Automatically collected data

• We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., screen views, feature usage) to improve the app. This may include device type, app version, and general usage events. This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.

In-app purchases

• If you make in-app purchases (e.g., donations), Google Play processes the transaction. We may receive non-personal information such as purchase state to deliver the correct experience. We do not store payment details.

Images

• If you add photos to flashcards, they are stored only on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide and improve the app (e.g., fixing bugs, analytics).

• To show relevant in-app content (e.g., Remote Config for feature flags or donation options).

• We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your flashcard content for advertising or profiling.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Your decks and flashcards remain on your device. You can delete all data at any time via Settings in the app.

• Analytics data is processed by Google (Firebase) in accordance with their privacy practices.

4. Third-Party Services

The app uses:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config) – for usage analytics and remote configuration.

• Google Play – for app distribution and in-app purchases.

Their respective privacy policies apply to data they process.

5. Your Rights

You may:

• Delete all app data via the in-app Settings.

• Uninstall the app to remove local data.

• Contact us to ask about data practices or request support.

6. Children's Privacy

NetRunner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will address it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will be revised when we make changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
