Welcome to NetPulse. This Privacy Policy explains how NetPulse ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our internet speed test application on Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

By using NetPulse, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

NetPulse is designed with privacy in mind. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the speed test service.

Automatically Collected Information:

• IP address (used only to perform the speed test and detect your ISP and location — not stored on our servers)

• Network type (WiFi, Mobile Data, or Ethernet — detected locally on your device)

• Speed test results including download speed, upload speed, and ping (stored locally on your device only)

• Device internet connection status (to check connectivity before running a test)

Information We Do NOT Collect:

• Your name, email address, or any personal identity information

• Your phone number or contacts

• Your location via GPS or device sensors

• Your browsing history or app usage outside of NetPulse

• Any financial or payment information

• Photos, media, or files from your device

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

The information used by NetPulse is used solely for the following purposes:

• To perform the internet speed test (download, upload, and ping measurement)

• To display your public IP address, ISP name, city, region, and network type within the app

• To save your test history locally on your device for your own reference

• To detect whether your device has an active internet connection before running a test

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

DATA STORAGE

All speed test results and history are stored locally on your device using your device's storage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.

You can clear your test history at any time directly within the app by using the Clear History option.

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

NetPulse uses the following third-party services to perform speed measurements:

Speed Test Servers: NetPulse connects to global speed test servers to measure your internet speed. During a test, your device makes a temporary connection to these servers. Your IP address may be visible to these servers during the test only, and is not stored or used beyond the duration of the test.

IP Information Service: NetPulse uses a public IP information API (ip-api.com) to fetch your ISP name, city, region, and country. This is a one-time request made when you run a speed test. Please refer to ip-api.com's own privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them. NetPulse does not share any additional personal data with these services beyond what is technically required to perform the speed test.

PERMISSIONS USED

NetPulse requests only the following permissions:

• INTERNET — Required to perform the speed test and connect to test servers

• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Required to detect your current network type (WiFi or Mobile Data) and check connectivity before running a test

We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, or any other sensitive device permissions.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

NetPulse does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not target children and does not contain any content directed at children. If you believe your child has provided any personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Since NetPulse does not collect or transmit personal data to any servers we control, the risk of data breach is minimal. All data generated by the app remains on your device and under your control.

DATA RETENTION

NetPulse does not retain any personal data on external servers. Speed test results stored on your device are retained until you choose to delete them using the Clear History feature within the app, or until you uninstall the application.

YOUR RIGHTS

Since NetPulse does not collect or store personal data on any external servers, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete on our end. All data is stored locally on your device and you have full control over it at all times.

You have the right to:

• Clear your local test history at any time within the app

• Uninstall the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data

• Contact us with any privacy-related questions or concerns

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of NetPulse after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
