Self-Paced, On-Demand Professional Development for Today's Busy Learners
NetflixPD is a collection of online modules designed to easily help you stay up-to-date on technology-infused instructional practices.
How It Works For You
Instead of looking at how to use a specific technology tool, we'll look at sound instructional practices and the tools that support them. All courses are project-based; that is, at the end of viewing and learning, you'll get a chance to show what you know and share it to our project board.
Watch a video explaining the instructional practice and the educational technology supporting it.
Follow links embedded in the video, creating accounts if necessary.
End-of-module task creation + reflection.
Why It Works For You
NetflixPD is designed for you to watch whenever and wherever you choose to do so: in PLCs, during team planning times, for PD days, or even faculty meetings. You can also choose how you want to learn: alone, with a group, or with a crowd. Course licenses can be purchased at discounted rates.

Why should I purchase NetflixPD?
In the digital age, learning is available anywhere and anytime, and yet, our current model of "sit-and-get" professional development isn't aligned with that philosophy. Plus, you've got faculty meetings, an inbox bursting at the seams, IEP conferences, building committee commitments...well, you get the point. You simply want to explore and master a quick win for your teaching and their learning.
NexflixPD is designed for fun-sized learning. (Kinda like those Milky Ways I used to steal from my kids' trick-or-treat bags!) Work on a module during your planning period. Pause it and return to it later. Collaboratively work with your team during planning periods or during teacher-based team meetings/PLCs. Ask your building administrator to purchase a module (or more) for a faculty meeting or for an in-service day!
When does the course begin? When does it end?
Like any streaming service, each of our modules is available to you whenever you want it to be! Start it, pause it, rewatch it, fast forward through it. As soon as you enroll, you have access. And, you've got six whole months from the time of purchase before your access to the module expires! If you choose to purchase a subscription or a bundle, though, you have even more time to get it done!
What if I need help from the instructor?
Check-ins, support, and virtual office hours are available.
Can I get PD credit?
The short answer is "yes." Let me explain...
Upon completion of each module--and the successful completion of the final task for that module--I will issue you a certificate that indicates three hours of work were accomplished. This certificate stipulates that three hours of regular time, but not credit hours, were attained. You'll need to submit your certificate to your district for approval. I cannot guarantee that your district will award you credit.
