LoopGain ("the app", "we", "us") is a team feedback session companion app. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and who it is shared with. It applies to the Android and iOS versions of LoopGain.
If you have questions about this policy or want to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at play-store-neteinstein@googlegroups.com.
LoopGain does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifier through the app itself. Feedback session content — the cards drawn, notes typed during a session, and who is receiving feedback — stays on your device and is never sent to us or to any third party. The app does use Google Firebase for crash reporting and basic usage analytics, described below.
No account or sign-in is required or offered.
No names, email addresses, or contact details are collected by the app.
Session content — the cards drawn, any notes typed during a feedback session, and who is giving or receiving feedback — is kept only in the app's memory and local device storage. It is never transmitted off your device, synced to a server, or shared with other participants' devices automatically.
The app does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, or files.
The app saves a small set of preferences to local device storage (Android SharedPreferences / iOS UserDefaults) so your choices persist between sessions:
Selected language (English / Portuguese)
Selected theme (light / dark / system)
This data never leaves your device and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
LoopGain uses two Google Firebase services to keep the app stable and to understand how it is used:
Firebase Crashlytics — collects crash and diagnostic reports if the app crashes or encounters an error, including device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace of the failure. This does not include the content of a feedback session.
Firebase Analytics — collects standard app-usage analytics such as app opens, screens viewed, general device and app information (device model, OS version, app version, language, and an approximate, coarse location derived from IP address), and an anonymous installation identifier. This is aggregate usage data, not content you type into the app.
These services are provided by Google. Data they collect is processed by Google under its own privacy policy and terms, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. We do not sell or share this data with any other third party, and we do not use it for advertising.
The app requests only the Android INTERNET permission, which is required for the Firebase services above to reach Google's servers.
Local preferences and session content are removed automatically when you uninstall the app, or immediately if you clear the app's storage/data from your device settings.
Crash and analytics data collected via Firebase is retained by Google according to Firebase's standard retention periods. You may request that we ask Google to delete data tied to your device by contacting us at the email below with your device's Firebase installation details.
LoopGain is a workplace feedback tool intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves — for example, if we add new features that change what data is handled. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
