NetDefendy respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the application processes information while providing firewall, internet access control, traffic monitoring, and device insight features.
1. Local VPN Service
NetDefendy uses Android’s VPN Service to apply the Wi-Fi and mobile data access rules selected by the user.
The VPN connection operates locally on the device. Internet traffic is not routed through, transmitted to, or stored on a remote NetDefendy server.
NetDefendy does not use the VPN Service to collect personal information, manipulate traffic for monetization, or sell browsing data.
2. Information Processed
Depending on the permissions granted by the user, NetDefendy may process:
Installed application names, icons, and package identifiers
User-created firewall rules and protection profiles
Application screen time and last-used information
Application network usage information
IP addresses, ports, protocols, and visible DNS domain information associated with connection attempts
Device memory and application-related system information
Protection status, schedules, data limits, and application settings
This information is processed locally on the user’s device to provide the application’s features.
3. Data Collection and Sharing
NetDefendy does not sell personal data.
NetDefendy does not transmit firewall traffic records, application usage information, browsing activity, or protection rules to the developer or to a third-party traffic server.
The application may use Google Play services required for distribution, billing, security, or other platform functionality. Those services are governed by Google’s own privacy policies.
4. Local Data Storage
Firewall rules, application settings, protection profiles, and connection history are stored locally on the device.
A backup file is created only when the user explicitly chooses to export application rules. The user controls where this file is stored and shared.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Users can delete connection history from the application’s settings.
Local application information can also be removed by:
Clearing NetDefendy’s application data through Android settings
Uninstalling NetDefendy from the device
Deleting exported backup files manually
NetDefendy does not retain this locally stored information on a developer-controlled server.
6. Android Permissions
NetDefendy may request the following permissions or system access:
VPN Service: Applies per-application Wi-Fi and mobile data rules.
Usage Access: Displays screen time, last-used information, and usage insights.
Notifications: Displays protection status, warnings, and new application alerts.
Installed Applications Access: Displays applications that can be managed through firewall rules.
Nearby Wi-Fi or Location Access: Supports optional Wi-Fi-based protection automation where required by the Android version.
Battery Optimization Settings: Helps the user keep firewall protection active in the background.
Boot Completion Access: Restarts previously enabled protection after the device is restarted.
Optional permissions can be declined, but some related features may not function.
7. Children’s Privacy
NetDefendy is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because application information is processed locally, NetDefendy does not knowingly maintain personal information belonging to children on developer-controlled servers.
8. Security
NetDefendy is designed to keep firewall rules and traffic history on the device. Users are responsible for securing their devices and any backup files they export.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when application features, permissions, or legal requirements change. The latest version will display its effective date at the top of this page.
