Net-Check Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 22, 2026
Key Points
• Net-Check is designed with a privacy-first approach and collects only the minimum data needed for speed tests, outage alerts, and gaming server status.
• Precise location is requested optionally for localized ISP outage notifications and can be denied or revoked anytime in your device settings.
• We never sell your personal data; sharing is limited to trusted service providers like Firebase for push notifications.
• The app complies with major U.S. privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA and 2026 state updates on geolocation) and offers easy ways to exercise your rights.
Data Collection Summary
We collect device information, anonymized network performance metrics (speed, latency, jitter), and optional precise location for outage alerts. No email, name, or account creation is required. Gaming status checks use only public APIs and generate no personal records.
Your Controls
Turn off location in app settings or device preferences. Manage push notifications via Firebase. Request data deletion or access by emailing privacy@netcheck.app.
Security Commitment
All data is encrypted in transit, stored securely, and retained only as long as necessary for the service.
Net-Check Privacy Policy: Full Detailed Guide
This Privacy Policy explains how NetCheck Mobile LLC (“Net-Check,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a U.S.-based developer located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Net-Check mobile application (the “App”) for iOS and Android. The App provides internet speed testing, latency checking, ISP outage tracking for providers including AT&T, Comcast, Cox, and others, plus live gaming server status for titles such as World of Warcraft, Fortnite, League of Legends, and more.
We are committed to transparency and compliance with applicable laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), other 2026 U.S. state privacy regulations emphasizing precise geolocation protections, and general best practices aligned with GDPR principles for international users. This policy was last updated on February 22, 2026, to reflect current data-handling practices and regulatory developments.
Net-Check follows a strict “privacy-by-design” principle. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the core features.

No personal data; only public API responses for WoW, Fortnite, LoL, etc.
Public game server APIs
Show live server status and per-game latency
We do not collect: names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment information, browsing history outside the App, or precise location without your explicit permission. Speed test results and outage reports are anonymized before any internal analysis.
Directly from you: When you run a speed test or enable location for alerts.
Automatically: Through device sensors, network calls, and integrated services.
Third-party services: Firebase for notifications and crash reporting; public APIs for game status and ISP outage data (aggregated from sources like Downdetector-style reporting systems).
We use the data solely to:
• Deliver real-time speed tests and performance insights.
• Detect and notify you of ISP outages affecting AT&T, Comcast, Cox, and similar providers in your area.
• Display live gaming server status and latency for Fortnite, League of Legends, WoW, and others.
• Improve the App through anonymized analytics (e.g., fixing common latency issues).
• Send optional push notifications about outages or server downtime (you can disable these anytime).
• Comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
No data is used for targeted advertising or profiling.
We share information only in limited, necessary cases:
• Service Providers: Firebase (Google) handles push notifications using Firebase Installation IDs, which are retained only until you delete them via our API or your account deletion request (data removed from live systems within 180 days).
• ISP & Outage Data Partners: Aggregated, anonymized outage reports may be shared with third-party providers to improve accuracy (never your personal identifiers).
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect safety.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer under the same privacy protections.
We never sell personal information. Network performance data shared with partners is always pseudonymized or fully anonymized.
• Speed test and latency results: Retained locally on your device for your history view; server-side anonymized aggregates kept up to 24 months for trend analysis.
• Location data: Only while the feature is active and deleted immediately when you revoke permission.
• Firebase tokens: Retained only as long as needed for notifications; deleted on request.
• All other data: Kept only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined, or as required by law (e.g., 7 years for certain audit records).
We implement industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3+), secure storage, access controls, and regular security audits. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information. In case of a breach, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
• Access, correct, or delete your data.
• Opt out of location sharing or notifications.
• Request a copy of data we hold about you.
• Object to certain processing.
For U.S. users (especially California residents under CCPA/CPRA): Exercise rights via privacy@netcheck.app. We respond within 45 days (extendable by 45 more if needed). No discrimination for exercising rights.
For international users: We honor GDPR-like rights where applicable.
To disable location: Go to device Settings > Net-Check > Location > Never.
To stop notifications: Device Settings > Notifications > Net-Check > Off.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. Parents may contact us to request deletion.
As a U.S.-based app, data may be processed in the United States. We use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards for transfers outside your region.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Significant changes will be notified in-app with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions, requests, or concerns:
Email: ferdie.cm@icloud.com
We will respond to verified requests promptly.
Thank you for trusting Net-Check to keep your connection strong and your data safe.
