Synopsis

Teacher Sarathano Ra, the owner of the Nara Thep Sarathat Faculty in Phatthalung, wants his only son, Sing, to inherit the Nara Thep Sarathat tradition. However, Sing is still a teenager and enjoys modern music, so he does not see the need to uphold the outdated Nara Thep Sarathat tradition as his father thinks. Sing argues with his father and ends up being expelled from home for disrespecting the ancestors. He has to wander around playing music and busking for a living. The dancers wear colorful beaded costumes with wing-like appendages, tall headgear, and long metallic fingernails. They dance to the rhythm of traditional music. The lyrics are cleverly improvised to rhyme. The songs, dances, and costumes all have meaning.
