Craig of Carnock

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Locally known as The Craigie, this is a small volcanic plug that rises to a height of 204m/669ft and towers over Glanderston Dam. You might also see it called Duncarnock in texts and on maps but that refers to the pre-historic remains (probably iron-age) of a hill fort on the top of it and of which you can read more of here, here, and here.
