I am Nehal Dash, postdoctoral researcher in the Mathematical Physics Group (Continuum Mechanics Unit) at the Department of Mathematics "Tullio Levi-Civita", University of Padova, working with Prof Giulio G. Giusteri.
My research focuses on developing continuum-based mathematical models to enhance the understanding of fundamental phenomenon governing the complex mechanics of soft and viscoelastic materials.
The overarching theme of my research is to develop analytical and computational models within the framework of continuum mechanics and the Finite Element Method to understand the nonlinear behavior of soft materials. My expertise includes addressing interdisciplinary problems using concepts from continuum mechanics, nonlinear material modeling, viscoelasticity, finite element analysis, and nonlinear dynamics.
I consistently seek suitable answers to soluble questions to identify the best mathematics for describing fundamental phenomena.
