Having completed my schooling till class 10 from St. Francis De Sales School (Dhemaji), I completed by 12th from Dhemaji College and graduated from the same institute with Honours in Mathematics, securing First class Third position in Dibrugarh University with Distinction, being the first to get First class from the Department of Mathematics, Dhemaji College.
Before completing my Ph.D. from Gauhati University, I went to Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur to complete my Masters.
I joined Jorhat Engineering College with experience in both industrial and academic sector in various places, within and outside the state, also within and outside the country.
