The workshop aims at presenting fundamental theoretical advances and most promising research directions of evolutionary PDEs and control theory, with a particular focus on the deep and increasingly fruitful interaction between hyperbolic PDEs, geometric measure theory, variational methods and control. On this occasion we celebrate the 70th birthday of Alberto Bressan. The contributions of Alberto Bressan in such fields have been fundamental, often reshaping these research areas by solving fundamental open problems, introducing completely new techniques and generating new research directions. This is part of the activities of the ERC project "Regularity and singularity of solutions to geometric variational problems".
