Privacy Policy
Nearby Share For Windows 10/11 is a free app published by Darklity. This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone. It applies to the Android app com.shoppie.nearbyfileshare.
This app does not ask you to create an account. Darklity does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, or phone number. The app does not request permission to read your phone number or phone status.
Files, links, and notes are sent directly between your phone and a nearby Windows PC. They are not uploaded to Darklity. A file is saved on your phone only after you tap Receive. Received files go to your Downloads folder.
The app uses Bluetooth and location permission so Android can scan for nearby Windows PCs. That location access is used on the phone for discovery. The app does not send your GPS location to Darklity.
Advertising
The app shows ads through Chartboost. Chartboost and its partners may receive and use:
the Android advertising ID
device model, language, time zone, and screen information
the carrier name, carrier country, and mobile network codes
a phone type value that means only none, GSM, or CDMA, not your phone number
IP address, which is part of a normal internet connection
ad views, taps, and diagnostic data needed to show and measure ads
Ads are requested in non-personalized mode. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android Settings, under Privacy, then Ads.
Chartboost’s privacy policy is at https://docs.chartboost.com/en/legal/privacy-policy/
The app also uses Google Play services for ads measurement and for in-app updates. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Children
This app is not directed to children under 13. Darklity does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
This policy may be updated by posting a new version on this page.
This policy is effective as of 28 September 2026.
