It is with great sadness that we inform you that Dr. Kazuhiro Ikenaka passed away from illness on October 27^th, 2018 at 3:40A.M.

He made a great effort to raise younger researchers and was involved with the founding of the Annual Meeting for Japanese Developmental Neuroscientists, which has produced many excellent researchers.

We will never forget Dr. Ikenaka’s great contributions, and will carry on our work in his memory.

We pray that his soul may rest in peace.
