NDA Reapers 04 welcomes Alyson Albrycht (2022) to our team!! In her first at bat of our winder indoor season, Alyson hit a bomb over CF for a GRANDSLAM! (And it was a tall fence!) Welcome to the bomb squad, we're glad you're here!! Alyson is a Junior at Sandusky HS where she has earned a 4.208 GPA and wants to go on to be a Dermatologist. She played volleyball, basketball, and softball the past 2 years for the Sandusky Blue Streaks, earning Rookie of the Year honors as a Freshman on the Varsity softball team. Alyson will be playing OF for us and backing us up at catcher.
NDA Reapers 04 welcomes Natalie Kopczak (2023) to the family! Nat will fit into 2B for us and be a great addition to the lineup! She just completed her 2nd Varsity season for Stow-Munroe Falls HS. When she's not on the field, you might find her watching "Grey's Anatomy" or baking something yummy! She enjoys traveling and wants to become a Sports Med Doc after playing ball in college!
First up is our hero, Ms. Double-zero…Welcome #00 Mady Tinch back to the team! This will be Mady’s 3rd year with the Reapers 04 and boy are we glad to have her cannon coming back to the outfield!! Mady likes country and pop music, her favorite color is purple, and her favorite thing to eat is Mexican food. When she goes to college, Mady is thinking about majoring in Education or Criminal Justice. In her spare time, if she ever has any, she enjoys painting and watching scary movies!
Returning to the NDA Reapers 04 squad is our speedster, #4 Chloe Trine! Chloe was a founding member of the first 14u Reapers team and played last season for our Reapers 05. She’s grown since then but is still blazing fast on those bases and in our outfield!! Like several of her teammates, Chloe is interested in Criminal Justice, but is also thinking about Nursing or Sports Medicine. Her favorite color is light purple and she loves eating crab claws! Chloe has a diverse taste in music – you can find her tik toking to country or hip hop. Chloe is a 3-letter winner in volleyball, track, and softball. When she has downtime, she enjoys it hanging out with family and friends. Welcome back, Chloe!
Our most important piece of the outfield is our Centerfielder, a born Leader, #22 Maddie Engler! As a founding member, this is Maddie’s 3rd season with the NDA Reapers 04. She’s got speed and smarts and easily takes command of the outfield and the dugout! Opponents have to watch her closely when she’s up to bat because she can drop a bunt, soft slap in the gap, power slap to no-man’s land, and hit bombs!! When this girl isn’t practicing softball, giving hitting lessons, working out, playing basketball, or running track, she likes to eat Chinese food and paint. Her favorite color is yellow and she’s thinking about becoming a Lawyer.
Another addition to the team that we’re so thankful for is #10 Samantha Bell! She’ll be trading off catcher duties and first base for us this year. Sam has a ton of softball experience and can throw on a rope from nearly any position! Her arm and bat are so strong, future criminals better watch out because she’s already in the Criminal Justice program at Col. Crawford High School’s Pioneer Career and Technical Center! On the softer side, Sam’s favorite color is Blue, she likes hanging out with friends when she has the time, eating pizza and listening to country music. Welcome to the team, Sam!!
Joining Sam at 1B and Catcher this year is #34 Jostyn “Nettie” Gallant, who subbed with us several times last season, including being a beast for us behind the plate in scorching temperatures at Nationals without complaint! This girl is tough and knows how to command the field!! I would not want to be a blocker going up against her as she plays volleyball this fall! When Nettie isn’t playing a sport, she loves to be active outdoors. Her favorite color is green, she likes country music, and eating tacos! When she grows up, she’s thinking about a career in physical therapy or animal science. We’re so glad you joined us permanently, Nettie!
2nd base is next…#23 Harley Thomas! Harley and Nettie are stepsisters and have been playing travel softball together for the last 5 seasons. She also helped us out this past summer and at Nationals! Harley has great speed and is a really smart base-runner. She can play just about anywhere, but will cover 2B and 3B for us this year. Harley is also thinking about majoring in animal sciences or physical therapy. She likes to watch Netflix and Tik Tok, where she enjoys pop music the best. Her favorite food is mac n’ cheese and color is (fittingly) teal! We’re happy to see you in our teal Reapers uniforms, Harley!!
Staying in the middle infield, next is our shortstop, 3rd year Reaper and MVP of Nationals, #43 Lauren Tompkins!! This. girl. can. hit! At one tournament last winter, I think Lauren hit a home run every. at. bat! We could not live without her and we’re so glad she’s returning! When Lauren isn’t on the softball field, she has fun playing musical instruments. She can play the piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and cello – she’s 1st chair cellist in her school’s symphony orchestra. Don’t let that fool you, though because Lauren’s favorite music to listen to is classic rock! When Lauren goes off to college, she’s undecided in what she’ll study, but maybe something in the field of Business. Her favorite color is blue and she loves tacos, just like Sam!
Joining us this year, as much as she can, will be #24 Diana Bishopp! Diana is an all-around athlete and plays many sports, but her most successful has been ice hockey where she is an All-American and plays for the USA National Hockey team!! Before making that huge commitment, Diana also loved to play softball and has many years of travel ball experience. We are sad to hear that this pandemic has affected so many of our beloved sports, but we’re happy that Diana now has a little more time to join us for some softball!! She could fill in just about anywhere on the field, but will mostly be a shortstop and 3rd baseman for us this season. If Diana ever has any free time, she enjoys spending it on Netflix. Her favorite food is buffalo wings, she likes club music, and her favorite color is not just orange, but neon orange! (I think there’s a theme there.) We had all better get to know Diana really well because she is going to have a career in finance, and we’ll all need her to be our advisor! Welcome, Diana!!
And now to the bullpen! First in the circle is #99 Lauren Frietchen, who also subbed with us over the course of last season, frequently helping us out! She was able to give us a couple of relief innings at Nationals, even though she was recovering from an injury, that were key to our success. Lauren’s been getting stronger and her fastball is screaming, but watch out for her movement because it’ll surprise you! We think she finally agreed to join our team because her favorite color is teal. When she’s not working out, she enjoys drawing, eating pizza, and listening to heavy metal. (It’s always the little, quiet ones!) In a few years, when she is playing softball in college, Lauren would like to major in pharmacy.
Returning for her second season in the circle for us is #13 Kassy Stefanski! Kassy led us on the mound most of the time last season and earned the Defensive MVP at Nationals for leading us to the Championship!! She has a killer rise ball and curve ball that keep batters guessing which way the ball will move. She’s working on a change up that would confuse them even more! Kassy is also a power hitter. We just held a hit-a-thon and Kassy got 31 over-the-fence homeruns in 100 chances! To relax and unwind, Kassy loves to draw or do some kind of art. She would like to major in visual arts or game design – merging her other favorite pastime: video games and anime. Kassy’s favorite food is steak, her favorite music is pop, and favorite color is blue. Glad you’re back, Kassy!
Last but not least…(well, she is the youngest) our 3rd pitcher, #7 Abby Stefanski! Yes, she’s Kassy’s younger sister. Abby is a 2006 birth year and is in 8th grade. She pitched last Fall for our Reapers 05 team and subbed a couple of times for us in 16u. Abby is ready to take her game to the next level and is happy to be pushed by the older girls. When she isn’t practicing softball, working out, or doing her homework, Abby loves to play on the computer, especially Fortnite and Steam games. Abby is also a great artist and has been drawing anime-like characters since she was very young. Rounding out the roster, Abby’s favorite food is Mexican, music is pop, and color is yellow.
