How to get into NDA?

The candidates must have to prepare themselves for the written exam. Firstly, you have to clear the written exam conducted by UPSC and it, SSB round comes where your personal and psychological skills will be tested.

Written Exam: for the written NDA exam, you need to have some basic knowledge of class 11th and 12th because the syllabus comes from that. If you study regularly, you can easily crack the exam. Candidates must also prepare for the GK because the written exam covers two subjects which include Mathematics and General Ability (English and General Knowledge).

SSB Round: after clearing the written exam, the next step is SSB round which is personality-based and the right fit person is chosen for that job by the officials. The best way to clear this round is to be calm and introspect yourself before going for an SSB interview and you should not be studious and outspoken.

SSB round consists of two stages. Both the stages are compulsory to clear to get selected in NDA. After SSB round, a medical examination is conducted and it depends on your physical fitness.

NDA exam is hard to crack as the selection ratio of NDA is low. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the NDA written exam in which around 8000 students get selected for SSB and from which only 350 make it to the merit list. NDA Eligibility Criteria 2020

Age limit – Candidates who have born not earlier than 2nd July 2001 and not later than 1st July 2004, are eligible to apply for the exam.

Army Wing of National Defence Academy – Candidates must have passed 12th class under 10+2 pattern of school education or equivalent from a recognized board.

Air Force, Navy, and Naval Academy of National Defence Academy – Candidates must have passed class 12th under 10+2 pattern of school education with physics and mathematics conducted by a state education board.
