DR. Hui-Chin Yeh 葉惠菁 特聘教授 (國立雲林科技大學應用外語系 )

Dr. Hui-Chin Yeh is currently a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology. Her research and teaching areas include technology-assisted education, focusing on using artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance holistic language learning and improve teaching effectiveness for rural teachers. She has also dedicated herself to computer-assisted language learning, robot-assisted learning, and the application of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) in language teaching. 

Abstract

This presentation delves into the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on language learning, emphasizing the shift toward self-regulated and personalized experiences. AI empowers learners to take control of their education by setting their own pace, focusing on specific areas, and receiving tailored feedback aligned with their needs. The speaker will introduce how AI-driven tools like adaptive learning platforms, virtual tutors, and Gen AI tools foster self-regulation, adapt to individual learning styles, and offer real-time insights, enabling learners to identify strengths and target improvement areas efficiently.
